Rock climbing and summer mountaineering

Guided Rock climbs:

I offer guided single and multi-pitch rock climbing experiences anywhere in Scotland (or further afield if you have something in mind!). I am very happy to guide routes from Diff to E3 in the trad grading system and I am also always interested in sport climbing if this is something you would like to do.

Please get in contact to discuss an idea for a specific route, crag, or location in the country. If you need some ideas for inspiration I would also be happy to discuss these.

Guided Summer Mountaineering

Scotland has a wealth of brilliant ridges and classic mountaineering days and I am able to offer guided mountaineering days at all levels across Scotland. I can work with a maximum group ratio of 1:3 dependant on the objective. Classic ridgelines like The Aonach Eagach in Glen Coe, Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis or a traverse of An Teallach in Wester Ross make for amazing days out.

For the ambitious - the Black Cuillin on Skye are some of the most impressive mountains in the British Isles where a traverse of the ridge is the biggest mountaineering challenge. This is arranged in a 3 day minimum booking, but the longer the booking the more preparation we can do and the greater the chance of a clear weather window. The ridge is attempted on the best two weather days and can be done with no more than 2 clients at a time. This is because of the large amount of complex terrain that needs to be covered at a fast pace. A traverse is aimed at experienced mountaineers, this should not be your first route in the Cuillin. Ideally you will have joined me for a few days out previously to assess your ability.
